The ‘Data for Good Consulting Initiative of the year’ category recognises organisations that have demonstrated a strong commitment to using data for social good. The judges were impressed with our home hazard predictions that utilise machine learning to identify and address home hazards at the address level. This approach optimises maintenance efforts, reduces costs, and ensures equitable distribution of resources. The predictions will assist organisations in reaching net zero goals and fostering safe and healthy living environments for all.

The British Data Awards is an annual quest that seeks to uncover and celebrate data success stories. The awards also showcase the organisations and people that are deeply passionate about data. With 226 entries this year, the competition was fierce, encompassing FTSE 100 giants, tech unicorns, innovative start-ups, large public sector bodies, and not-for-profits organisations.
Winners were announced in 22 categories and 9 entries also received a Highly Commended award.
