Shortlisted for Surrey Business Awards ‘Micro Business of the Year 2021’

It’s been a bit of roller coaster for Bays over the last 18 months, as we’ve trebled in size, learnt to onboard remotely and set up our first ever office.  There were times when looking at the enormity of what Bays was trying to achieve was overwhelming.  Some days were just plain hard.  On those days I got my courage from those who have voluntarily taken a seat on the same roller coaster of working for a small business.  I have gained so much from the wonderful, amazing team at Bays.  Every single one has made me laugh, smile and shown me that the work we do is worthwhile.  In fact, their impact on me and Bays is summed up by a verse from one of my favourite songs:

“A kind and steady heart, can conquer doubt and fear

A little courage goes a long, long way

Gets you a little bit further down the road each day

And before you know it, you’ll hear someone say

That’ll do…”

(Lyrcis from That’ll Do by Peter Grabriel)

At Bays we always celebrate achievement, and I was thrilled when the entire team’s hard work has been acknowledged, as Bays Consulting has been shortlisted for Micro Business of the Year in the Surrey Business Awards.  These awards recognise firms from every sector in the region, and aim to celebrate the success of business community and support the local economy. There’s no prouder moment for a small business owner than seeing their team’s hard work paid off. That’ll do for ending the week in a really positive way.
