Dr Sophie Carr won the prestigious ‘Inspirational Women in Stem & Construction’ Award

We are delighted to announce that our Founder and Managing Director, Dr. Sophie Carr, has been awarded the prestigious Women in STEM & Construction award. This recognition showcases Sophie’s exceptional contributions and unwavering commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity in our industry.

Female entrepreneurship has the potential to add a remarkable £250 billion to the UK economy, as emphasized by the Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship. Encouraging young women to pursue STEM subjects is crucial in increasing female start-up rates in these sectors. However, the underrepresentation of women in the STEM workforce persists, highlighting the need for visible female role models.

In line with this mission, the Inspirational Women in STEM and Construction Campaign, led by Roni Savage with support from NatWest, Amazon, and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), celebrates exceptional female business owners in STEM and Construction. These women serve as role models, inspiring others to break barriers and achieve greatness.

Last night, Sophie was honoured among over 70 remarkable women at the House of Lords. We congratulate Sophie on her well-deserved win and applaud her for her dedication and accomplishments. Let’s join together in supporting the campaign to empower future generations of women in STEM and celebrate Sophie’s achievements. Together, we can create a more inclusive and thriving industry.
